Prognosis

Symbolizes the prospective function of the psyche—the unconscious forecasting of the individuation process. A prognosis dream may indicate the psyche's assessment of a complex's integration or a future psychological development, urging preparation.

May represent wish-fulfillment (hoping for a positive outcome) or anxiety about punishment/sickness stemming from repressed desires. The 'doctor' giving the prognosis could symbolize a superego figure issuing a judgment on the dreamer's life.

Every part of the prognosis scenario is a disowned aspect of the self. The illness, the doctor, the chart—all represent parts of the dreamer projecting their own judgments, fears, or hopes about their life's current 'condition' and trajectory.
